The Blue Water Energy team employs a proactive hands-on approach by applying significant sector knowledge in collaboration with a network of industry and capital markets partners.

BWE’s investment philosophy rests on:

• A buy-and-build approach in the middle market as the best way to create companies of scale in partnership with seasoned and talented management teams  in order to generate a repeat source of attractive and stable returns for investors.

• A focus on three strategic counter-cyclical industry subsectors that provide access to stable, cash-generative and growth orientated businesses across the supply chain while also retaining a strategic interest in the underlying hydrocarbon resource.

• An understanding that private equity is the most attractive means to deliver returns in the energy space due to the control approach employed by private equity investment, which allows for BWE to partner with its world-class network of Industrial Partners and management teams to unlock value in companies.
• A macroeconomic backdrop including both increased demand for energy on a global basis in the face of constrained / depleting supply, as well as by an aging and increasingly technical supply chain beginning with the upstream and continuing down through to the midstream and downstream subsectors.
